I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Uva and the nearby areas numerous times, largely due to my wife’s first appointment at the Mahiyangana and Wilgamuwa hospitals. These travels have allowed us to explore and appreciate the unique charm and beauty of these provinces.

- Wilgamuwa and Wasgamuwa: These areas are renowned for their beautiful lakes and wildlife, providing excellent opportunities for nature lovers to spot wild elephants and other animals in their natural habitats.
- Victoria and Randenigala Power Plants: Visiting these impressive power plants was an enlightening experience, showcasing the engineering marvels that contribute to the region’s energy supply.
- Moragahakanda Project: This ambitious irrigation project is another highlight, demonstrating the efforts to improve water management and agriculture in the area.
Wild Encounters
