Jaffna, located in the northern part of Sri Lanka, is a city that never ceases to fascinate me. Having traveled there several times, I’ve had the pleasure of exploring many of its main attractions. Jaffna is rich in culture and beauty, offering a unique experience that stands out from other regions of Sri Lanka.

The city is filled with captivating sites, from ancient temples and historic landmarks to bustling markets and serene beaches. The local people are warm and welcoming, and their culture is distinct, with traditions and customs that are deeply rooted in history. The food in Jaffna is another highlight, offering a delicious array of flavors that are different from what you find in the southern part of the country.

One thing to note is that the climate in Jaffna is quite hot, especially compared to the more temperate southern regions. Despite the heat, the vibrant atmosphere and cultural richness make every visit worthwhile.

I’ve shared some pictures from my last two trips to Jaffna below. Enjoy these glimpses of my journeys!
